Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said he is not close to quitting the club for the Portugal national team.
Mourinho had previously claimed that he would like to coach his country, when he feels ‘tired’.
But in an interview with GQ magazine, he made it clear that it was not yet time.
“No. No! I am not close at all,” he said.
“I think being the coach of a club is my job. Because I need to play matches every week.
“I would say I am even further away from being tired now than I was a few years ago.”
Mourinho, who has won the EFL Cup and the Europa League since arriving at the club in 2016, signed a contract extension in January that will keep him at Old Trafford until at least 2020.
