Southampton boss, Ronald Koeman, has told his Chelsea counterpart, Jose Mourinho, not to describe himself as The Special One.

The Portuguese famously named himself as such, when he first arrived in England in 2005, but has endured the worst period of his career this season at Stamford Bridge.

Koeman takes his team to Chelsea on Saturday and in a chat with BBC, he expressed his admiration for Mourinho.

“Jose went his own way as a coach and he did things much better,” Koeman told the BBC.

“He is a winning coach. I like how he has done, he’s an example to all managers.

“In some things, he’s special, but what’s a special one?

“It is someone who has a good mentality to be the best, but it’s not for yourself to mention that.”
