Mourinho’s agent denies he has agreed deal to replace Van Gaal

Jose Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has denied that Manchester United have offered his client Louis van Gaal’s job.

The Portuguese has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, after he was sacked by Chelsea last week.

Mourinho also already confirmed he will not take a break from the job and is looking for another club to manage.

With Van Gaal under intense pressure at United after a poor run of six matches without a win, Mourinho has emerged as a strong contender for the Old Trafford seat.

However, Menedes says nothing has been agreed.

“There is nothing. We don’t know what will happen in the future but now there is no agreement,” he told Globo Esporte.

“There isn’t an official proposal either, that’s not true.”
