Jose Mourinho has admitted he does not feel the same level of “joy” towards Manchester United, as he does his other former clubs.
Mourinho was hired as United’s manager in 2016 and won the Europa League title and EFL Cup in his first season at Old Trafford.
However, he did not last until Christmas in his second year at Old Trafford and was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“It’s difficult for me to talk about Manchester.
“I can’t talk about them in the same joy and freedom as I talk about others [clubs],” Mourinho told RMC Sport on Friday.
United initially enjoyed a superb run following Mourinho’s dismissal, with Solskjaer leading the club to a stunning comeback victory over PSG.
On their memorable Champions League win, Mourinho said: “I think PSG was not ready for what happened.
“For me they did not prepare themselves in the most serious way for a Champions’ League match.”
