Mourinho puts Smalling up for sale after Lindelof’s arrival

Manchester United are reportedly hawking Chris Smalling around the Premier League, following the arrival of Victor Lindelof from Benfica .

Manager Jose Mourinho wants to offload the 27-year-old, with Everton and West Ham among the clubs to have been sounded out.

The Portuguese clearly feels Smalling does not have a future at Old Trafford, after publicly questioning his attitude a lot during the last season.

Mourinho also does not rate his footballing ability, after he revealed his tactical plan for the Europa League final against Ajax .

He said: “I even joked with Smalling – ‘With your feet, we’re for sure not playing out from the back!’”

A deal is also believed to be close for Real Madrid and Spain striker, Alvaro Morata, as Mourinho begins his summer shake-up.
