Mourinho mocks Chelsea after Manchester United officially unveil Lukaku

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at his former Chelsea, after Romelu Lukaku was officially unveiled on Monday, by stating that the player chose the biggest club in England.

United beat Chelsea to the signing of Lukaku after hijacking their move, to nab the former Everton striker in a £75million deal.

Lukaku trained with his new United team-mates in Los Angeles on the first day of the club’s US tour, as Mourinho relished putting one over on his former club.

“He’s a natural fit for Manchester United,” Mourinho said about his newest signing.

“He’s a big personality and a big player. It’s only natural that he wants to develop his career at the biggest club.

“He will be a great addition to the group and I know they will make him very welcome.

“I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”

Lukaku has signed a five-year deal with the option for an extra year.
