Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, has said that the referee was “weak and naive”, for failing to award his side a penalty, in their 0-0 draw at Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday night.
The Blues felt they deserved a spot-kick in the first half, after Cesc Fabregas was challenged in the area by Serhiy Rybalka, but the officials waved play on.
Mourinho told BT Sport afterwards: “The referee was weak and naive with the penalty.
“I cannot understand what the referee behind the goal does, because he doesn’t make a clear decision too.”
However, he was full of praise for his side’s display, saying: “I see progress. We hit the post twice, and had a good solid defensive performance against dangerous team. To lose this game would have been bad for us.”
Chelsea are third in Group G with four points, one behind second-placed Kiev. Porto is on on top, after defeating Maccai Tel Aviv.
