Mourinho insists Chelsea are not keen on signing Messi

Jose Mourinho has rubbished reports, that Chelsea are set to make a bid for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

Messi created speculations about his future, after he admitted he might not finish his career at the Camp Nou. The Argentine attacker has been linked to several clubs ever since.

However, Mourinho, who has come up against the 27-year-old several times in his career, insisted the stories were obviously false.

“My reaction is that your world [the media] changed so much that our world [football] also changed so much,” Mourinho said on Friday.

“And I think, in this moment, it’s so easy, so easy to have non-truths circulating.

“It’s so easy that some people put news without confirming or speaks about rumours. Obviously it’s [Messi going to Chelsea] not true. Obviously it’s not true.”
