Jose Mourinho is still convinced he will be named the next Manchester United manager, as Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly approached him.
Current PSG boss, Laurent Blanc, may still be sacked this summer despite leading the club to another Ligue 1 title, after they were dumped out of the Champions League by Manchester City.
The club’s chairman, Nasser al-Khelaifi, has already made moves to lure Mourinho to the French capital.
However, the Portuguese is holding out for the United role and has told his friends that he will take over from Louis van Gaal after this season.
It is understood that the Red Devils are already planning for a future without the Dutchman, especially with the imminent arrival of Pep Guardiola at their rivals, Manchester City.
Mourinho has been out of work since he was sacked as Chelsea manager in December.
