Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said that the fans could have done more to lift his players, during their 1-1 draw with Swansea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United were held to their 10th home league draw of the season by the Welsh club, in what was their 57th match of the season.
Mourinho claimed afterwards, that they were feeling the effects of a long season, which could extend to 64 games if they reach the Europa League final.
But he said the United supporters could have raised his players’ morale agaisnt Swansea.
“Did the supporters know it?” Mourinho said.
“Because if they know it, and they think about it, they would be more supportive of the players who give everything, deserve everything and are at their limits.
“The team is in trouble, the boys are in trouble. But when you give everything I cannot demand more. I’m not happy with the result. I’m very happy with the boys.”
United head to Spain this week for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Celta Vigo on Thursday.
