Monaco have been confirmed Ligue 1 champions, after they defeated Saint-Etienne 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
Leonardo Jardim’s side only needed a draw to secure the title, but Kylian Mbappe netted his 15th league goal and Valere Germain added a late second to claim all three points.
The win moved them to 92 points, while Paris Saint-Germain have 86 with only one game left.
Monaco have broken PSG’s hold over the French crown, with Les Parisiens having won four straighht titles since 2012/2013 – the second-longest in the Ligue 1’s history behind Lyon’s seven consecutive crowns between 2001-2008.
It is Monaco’s first league title since the 1999/2000 season and the club’s eighth overall.
