There have been varying reactions on and off social media over a testimony shared at the annual gathering of the Living Faith Church Worldwide members, tagged ‘Shiloh 2016.’

During the celebration night held on Friday, a family shared how the gender of their twin babies which scans earlier confirmed were girls, was changed to boys by God.

The Netherlands branch of Winners Chapel posted the testimony on their Twitter feed and it stirred up various emotions.

Some labelled it as sexist, others called it misogynistic. Another group queried the testimony, saying God doesn’t change the gender of children.

“So having boys instead of girls is a miracle?” a user with the handle @MissPeprika quizzed.

She was replied by @oileffect, who said: “the miracle is that they got what they believed for and not the doctor’s report. Must you spin this?”

“Children are a gift from God. Having boys instead of girls is not cause for Miracle time/Testimony!!” @RicDizzle chipped in.

Nwankosi with the handle @nwankosi247fired: “Who sanctioned this misogynistic and sexist tweet coded as a testimony? Pls take this thing down and stop insulting God.”

@TisPbucci tweeted: “The testimony is in the change of sex by divine power. No gender is being demeaned. Not everything is a coded message.”
