Following the ongoing controversy surrounding the whereabouts of the 2016 budget documents, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (PDP) Abia South, at today’s plenary asked the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki to open up on the matter.
“Mr Senate President, I come under Order 41 of Standing Order of the Senate. Yesterday, we held a closed door meeting on the issue of budget. We have been inundated with calls from our constituents, so, where is the budget?” Abaribe asked.
Reacting, Saraki recalled that some Senators have been detailed to work on getting copies distributed tomorrow (Thursday).
”Distinguished Senators, remember some of our colleagues were asked to get copies distributed by tomorrow, so hopefully we will do that and everybody will see,” Saraki said.
