Miss China emerges as Miss World 2012

The new Miss World waves

Miss China has won the Miss World 2012.

Yu Wenxia, a 23-year-old music student, became the second woman from China, to win the crown, after Zhang Zilin took it in 2007. Yu, who says she hopes to become a music teacher, won the title in her homeland, as the pageant was staged in the Inner Mongolian city of ordos.

Sophie Elizabeth Moulds from Wales, emerged as the first runner-up, while jessica Michelle Kahawaty of Australia, was the second runner-up.
