A ministerial nominee, Engr. Suleiman Adamu, who has just been screened by the Senate has called on the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, to focus more on the satellite towns as the state of the towns surrounding Abuja is an eyesore on the FCT.

Noting that efforts have to be made to make the slums more habitable, Adamu said it does not make sense we have these slums.

The nominee, who made this call while being screened for a ministerial position, revealed that he had been a part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s think tank since his foray into politics in 2002.

When tasked on how funding can be acquired for the construction of new roads: he advocated public private partnership as the answer but insisted that there has to be a conducive atmosphere for investors to come in.

While calling on financial institutions to brace up for long term funding, he added that idle funds like the pension funds should be invested into building of roads so that it can ultimately be recouped through tolling.
