Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has ordered the immediate payment of 2015 leave bonus to all categories of civil servants in the state.
Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, in a statement issued in Akure, said that the instruction became imperative as a result of the governor’s determination to ensure that workers in the state experience a memorable Yuletide with their families.
“The state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has ordered the immediate payment of leave bonuses to all civil servants in the state including those serving at the local government level,” he noted.
“The decision is in line with the Governor’s determination to further demonstrate that the welfare of workers in the state is of great importance to the government”.
The Commissioner said that the government had ensured that workers in the state are still able to maintain a reasonable standard of life despite the harsh economic climate being experienced in the country.
Akinmade appealed to the people to promptly pay their tax, adding that the government will, in the new year, do more in the area of infrastructure provision and maintenance.
