The Japanese Surgeon gave players who won bronze medal in the last Olympic the sum of $190,000 as gift for their performance at the Olympic Games.

Players of the team who would not want their names mentioned told Vanguard that the cheque is yet to be cleared by Mikel.

A player said, “Skippo (Mikel) is yet to clear the cheque, hence we are yet to receive alert but it’s fine although we are anxious to hear from him.”

Also, it was learnt that coach of the team, Samson Siasia, who collected the sum of $200,000 on behalf of the Technical crew is yet to distribute the cash.
