Mikel Obi, Victor Moses to miss Burkina Faso friendly

John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses will miss Tuesday’s friendly match against Burkina Faso.

The duo are not expected to feature in the game and were missing from the Super Eagles squad, that left Calabar for Abuja, from where they will travel to Kaduna, where the match will be played.

Although no official reason was given for their absence, it is believed that both players sustained knocks from the qualifier against Malawi, which Nigeria won 2-0.

Obi was voted Man of the Match and took home $5,000, while Moses doubled the home team’s advantage from the spot, seven minutes after the break.
