Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, failed to find the back of the net, as Tianjin TEDA were hammered 3-0 at home by Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
Ideye is yet to score for TEDA after four league appearances.
Ricardo Goulart scored twice, while Hanchao Yu also got on the score sheet, as the visitors secured maximum points from the fixture.
Mikel Obi, who is TEDA’s captain, was missing from the match as he is yet to recover from the injury, that kept him out of the 0-0 draw away to Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng at the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center on Saturday.
This is the second consecutive game he will sit out this season.
The defeat means Tianjin TEDA are now 11th in the league table with five points.
