Mikel Obi likely to miss Mexico friendly

John Mikel Obi might be unavailable for the friendly match between Nigeria and Mexico on May 31.

Stephen Keshi, who is already without his Chelsea team-mate Victor Moses and Kalu Uche, might have to do without the midfielder, because of issues with his travelling documents.

“Mikel has not called to pull out of any of the games,” A top official informed MTNFootball.com

“The issue which many are referring to is a very simple one – Mikel only said he needs to go back to London to process his Brazil visa and this may take longer than expected or could come earlier than anticipated.

“So, it’s rather a 50-50 situation which the head coach is fully aware.”
