New Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has said he is satisfied with the attitude of captain Mikel John Obi, since he started working with him.
The German hailed the Chelsea midfielder as a natural leader and made it clear he will remain the team’s skipper.
“Mikel is a natural leader,” Rohr said.
“His experience and leadership is exceptional. I saw him play at the Olympics and I’m sure I want him to continue as my captain. He spoke with me on the phone and he’s here again when he should be resting from the rigours of the Olympics.”
Rohr officially takes charge of the Eagles this weekend, when they play Tanzania in their final 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
