The duo of John Obi Mikel and Brown Ideye, are yet to win a Chinese Super League game with their new club Tianjin TEDA, after they were held to a 0-0 draw away to Jiangsu Suning FC.
Ideye, who joined the club two weeks ago, made his debut and played the entire 90 minutes, but was unable to find the back of the net.
It was also Mikel Obi’s second league appearance.
TEDA now have just one point in the new season, as they had lost their first fixture to Shandong Luneng.
The result means they are now 11th on the CSL table.
Their next match will be against Chongqing Lifan on April 2.
