Michael Babatunde terminates Dnipro deal over financial crisis

Michael Babatunde has officially terminated his contract with Ukrainian club, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

The Super Eagles forward has not been paid for four months, because of a financial crisis the team is facing.

Babatunde has been left frustrated by the events at the club, who were last season’s Europa League finalists, and has quit.

“Michael won’t return to Dnipro again as he has left the club for good,” a close source revealed exclusively to Completesportsnigeria.com.

“He already has offers from Portugal, Greece and Turkey, but that will be decided before the transfer window closes next month.”

UEFA has confirmed that Dnipro will be banned from playing in Europe, except they pay the $1.9million they are owing by January 31.

The Ukrainian club owes 840,000 euros ($910,000) to other clubs and 902,000 euros ($980,000) to staff.
