Mfon Udoh was Enyimba’s hero, as his brace ensured that the current Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, qualified for the first round of the CAF Champions League.
The Peoples’ Elephant beat Vipers SC 2-0 in Port Harcourt on Sunday, to progress with a 2-1 aggregate.
Udoh, who is the NPFL’s all-time highest goalscorer, scored his first in the 32nd minute from the spot, after Bartholomew Ibenegbu was fouled in the box.
Substitute Ugo Leonard was denied twice, before Udoh grabbed the all-important second goal.
