Messi nets 500th Barcelona goal in El Clasico win

Lionel scored his 500th goal in all competitions for Barcelona, after netting a match-winning brace in Sunday’s El Clasico .
The Argentine superstar went into the La Liga clash against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on 498 goals, after his double against Real Sociedad last weekend.
Messi failed to find the back of the net against Juventus, as Barca crashed out of the Champions League on Wednesday.
However, he hit his 499th against Madrid with a magical run and finish, before blasting the ball past Keylor Navas in the 92nd minute to send his team top of the league table.
Messi signed for Barcelona in 2001 when he was only 14 and broke into the senior squad three years later, making his La Liga debut in October 2004.
