The Presidency has revealed why President Muhammadu Buhari didn’t transmit a letter to the National Assembly on his latest trip to the United Kingdom, UK, for medical checkup.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang said Buhari was still on duty, but was only going for medical checkup, hence no need to inform the National Assembly.
Speaking with Vanguard on Tuesday, Enang said, “Mr. President is still on duty and he is going for medical attention.
“Mr. President does not need to transmit a letter , he is on duty, but gone for medical attention.”
Buhari had yesterday embarked on a four-day medical trip to UK.
Reacting to the president’s trip, Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina had said there was no cause to worry over his principal’s health.
