Meadow Hall Group, your 21st Century learning and educational services provider, an educational group focused on various aspects of education, has once again shown commitment to improving the standard of education in Nigeria through various initiatives.
Meadow Hall Consult, a subsidiary of Meadow Hall Group responsible for providing training, advisory and consultancy services to educators and educational institutions, has concluded its second stream of their Finishing School for Teachers in 2017.
The Meadow Hall Finishing School for Teachers focuses on equipping teachers with the learning tools they need for the 21st Century, as well as soft skills that are not taught in the university such as decision making, leadership, diction, public speaking, values, comportment, dressing and how they can be role models to their students.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Executive Director(Business Affairs), Meadow Hall Group, Mr. Charles Imevbore charged the graduands to practice all they have been taught and remember that everything they do and say influences the children in their care.
Miss Temitope Oludare, who was awarded the best student in assessment, said, “my experience at the Meadow Hall Finishing School for Teachers has been eye-opening. From the classroom observations, to the lectures and facilitators, the programme was very life-enriching”. Meadow Hall Consult has trained over one thousand teachers and school administrators in 2017.
Earlier in the year, Meadow Hall Education also produced an intriguing dance-musical that portrayed a fusion of two dance worlds: Bata and Tap.
BATAP was an extraordinary stage play with a lot of moral insight and constructive hints to learn from. The musical addresses rivalry issues in the two dance genres. It teaches salient lessons on love, understanding, peace, hope, patience and coexistence.
Due to its unique plot, the BATAP required those skilled in music and dance; who were groomed by the Meadow Hall Music Academy – a team of vibrant teachers, music and dance instructors and mentors.
The show also featured music, poetry and dance performances by various Meadow Hall students to showcase their talents and the school’s commitment to identify and nurture creativity in children.
A Co-Producer of the show, Mr. John Ofoesuwa, said the storyline highlights the unrest and conflicts in various parts of Nigeria and the world at large in recent times. According to him, “the moral of the story is that there is room for co-existence and we all need to learn to tolerate one another”.
To celebrate the Christmas season, Meadow Hall Music Academy last week organised the annual Meadow Hall Christmas Concert. It was an evening of excitement and fun as the event held at Meadow Hall’s Mead Green Turf in Lekki, the spectacular location at Meadow Hall School, which also hosts many sporting activities and events.
Beautiful Christmas songs and other musical performances were carried out by various year groups in the school to showcase Meadow Hall’s focus on developing multiple intelligences in children. Others that performed were the Chalcedony College choir, Meadow Hall Ikoyi Choir and the thrilling dance group, Dazzling Stars. The occasion was well attended by Meadow Hall parents, staff and students.
Meadow Hall Foundation, the non-profit arm of Meadow Hall Group, organised its annual Christmas party for its adopted school, Ilasan Primary School in Eti-Osa Local Government. The event was fondly tagged ‘Christmas @ Ilasan’. It featured Christmas presentations by the students of Ilasan Primary School, as well as games and presentation of gifts and food to all present.
The Meadow Hall Foundation Christmas at Ilasan was attended by Olori L.A. Afolabi, who represented the Baale of Idado; Sir Demola Aladekomo, Chairman, Meadow Hall Foundation; Mr. Charles Imevbore, Executive Director, Business Affairs, Meadow Hall Group; Mr. M.O.
