Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out of France’s friendly match against Paraguay on Friday, due to a thigh problem.
The 18-year-old made his debut for Les Bleus in the 3-1 2018 World Cup qualification win over Luxembourg in March. He also featured in the friendly against Spain.
Head coach Didier Deschamps has revealed that he is not be available to face Paraguay.
“Kylian had a small problem on Wednesday,” Deschamps said at a news conference on Thursday.
“He felt a bit of discomfort to his thigh.
“I will not take any risks with him.”
It remains to be seen if Mbappe will recover in time, for the 2018 World Cup qualifier away against Sweden on June 9.
