May 27: Buhari’s wife salutes Nigerian children

As Nigeria joins the rest of the word to mark this year’s International Children’s Day tomorrow, May 27, incoming First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has assured that the administration of her husband would be of much benefit to the Nigerian children.

Mrs Buhari said her husband’s government would channel more efforts towards the development of the Nigerian Child and that education will be the trust of the next government.

She gave this assurance in a statement released to mark this year’s International Children’s Day on May 27.

According to her, “Education is going to be the main focus of the incoming APC government.”

She further said, “our children are our future and education of our children is the best way to secure the future of our country.”

The statement also called for the swift implementation of the Child Rights Act, which has been passed by the National Assembly, but yet to be adopted by several states.

She further extended her best wishes to children all over the country, with special reference to the less privileged ones.
