MASSOB leader begs Ndigbo to support Jonathan for Ojukwu’s sake

Leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has expressed his love for President Goodluck Jonathan, saying that he will support the president even if he amends the constitution to continue running for president after 2019.

The MASSOB leader who disclosed this to Saturday Sun explained his devotion to Jonathan on the role the President played in according the late Biafran war hero, Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu a State burial. He called on Ndi Igbo to support Jonathan’s re-election bid even for that reason alone.

His words, “let me say this, I was one of the first Ndi Igbo that started supporting Jonathan immediately Ojukwu was buried. And I told myself for the role Jonathan played in giving Ojukwu state burial, I will support him until he leaves government. I started that time to tell people that Ndi Igbo should support Jonathan for only that reason. And I will continue to support Jonathan even if he wants to go for a third term, fourth term, fifth term. I will support him for that hon­our he gave to Ojukwu, our leader.

“I’m not supporting him because he built a railway or because he had rehabilitated airports or he built schools for almajiris, no. I’m sup­porting him because of the honour he bestowed on Ndi Igbo via Ojukwu,” he said.
