The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has lambasted the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for its insensitivity to Nigerians.
MASSOB said Buhari does not have the capacity to sustain social stability, and infrastructural development in the country.
This formed a statement by MASSOB’s leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu, in Awka, where he said Buhari should be blamed for the woes of the country.
The statement read in part, “The governance styles and policies, including the ethno-religious sentiments of President Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria, is the worst in the history of Nigeria.”
However, the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Anambra State, Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, has said that Buhari should not be blamed for the travails of the country. The bishop, who disagreed with MASSOB’s position, said one individual should not be faulted for Nigeria’s travails.
Ibeziem spoke while delivering his New Year message at a press conference in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
The cleric said, “We tend to blame one individual for the country’s woes.
“This is wrong. If all Nigerians do their duties well, governance will be easy and simple.”
