Masquerade chases 14-year-old pupil to death in Imo

A 14-year-old boy has been chased to death by a masquerade at the Ogbaku area of Imo State.

The boy, who was on his way to school, was crushed to death by a fast moving vehicle while being pursued by a masquerader, also known as ‘okorosha’, at Ogbaku, Imo State.

The masquerade was said to have chased the boy after he took off upon sighting him, the till he ran into the path of the vehicle on the Onitsha-Owerri Road.

Punch reports that after the accident had occurred, the masquerader mixed with other masqueraders, leaving the boy in a pool of blood. The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Andrew Enwerem while confirming the incident, said that “the police were investigating the incident.”
