Nigerian rapper and record producer, born Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson, better known by his stage name Phyno, says he is not thinking of marriage now as he needs to focus more on his career.
The rapper backed sensational singer, Flavour, who said male celebrities’ careers crash after marriage.
Speaking on Beat FM, Phyno, when asked when he will be getting married, said, “I think Flavour is right about entertainers and marriage.
He is right to some extent and wrong to some extent; all depends on your wife.
“If your wife is jealous, she may not be able to handle it.
“For me, marriage can happen at any time, but I am concentrating on making good music at the moment.
“I’m old enough to marry, but I’m married to the music right now,” the 29-year-old singer added.
Speaking further, Phyno, shared his views on the growing ‘baby mama’ trend among Nigerian celebrities.
He noted that the trend won’t stop him from getting married.
He said, “90% of acts that have baby mamas never planned it. Nobody dey plan am. When it happens, you then decide what to do.
“Your kid is your kid at the end of the day, whether you marry the mother or not,” he quipped.
