Mark congratulates Benue Governor-elect Ortom, advises him to be father to all

Senate President, Chief David Mark has congratulated the winner of last Saturday’s governorship election in Benue state, Dr. Samuel Ortom, praising him for his tenacity and doggedness throughout the electioneering period.

Mark, in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Paul mumeh, implored the incoming Governor to be magnanimous in victory “as the father of all citizens of Benue state”.

According to him, “I heartily extend my congratulations to you and your Deputy-Governor-Elect Chief Benson Abounu on your victory at the election. I urge you to be father to all citizens of Benue irrespective of political party affiliation.

“I am confident that you will bring your wealth of experience and administrative acumen to bear in the administration of the state for benefit of all citizens.”

The Senate President further urged the incoming administration to initiate and promote pro-people projects in order to earn the respect and support of all citizens.
