Many feared dead, trapped as building collapses in Lagos

A residential building Tuesday afternoon collapsed in Lagos and many are feared dead.

Others are trapped in the collapsed building located at Apongbon area of Lagos Island, Lagos State.

Adesina Tiamiyu, General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, has confirmed the incident.

The official, however, promised to make details available later.

Rescue operation by officials of the agency is ongoing as at 4pm.
