The patron of ‘The Mandate Renaissance Initiative’ Enugu, Dr Felix Ugwu has hailed Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for propagating value-orientation in the governance of the state.
Ugwu, a US-based business consultant, while speaking to the press during the House on the Rock music fiesta ‘Good morning Enugu’ held at Okpara square weekend, extolled the guiding principles upon which Ugwuanyi is leading the state, noting that “it is truly rooted in godliness”.
Ugwu, who led the Ugwuanyi re-election support group during the fiesta, commended the godly spirit with which Governor Ugwuanyi was piloting the affairs of Enugu state, adding that they are the bedrock upon which peace, unity and development could be achieved in any given society.
He said, “this fiesta could only hold in an atmosphere of peace such as the one Enugu people are enjoying under the leadership of Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
“We believe that Ugwuanyi has done well and as such should be given a second chance to consolidate on gains achieved for Enugu people.
“The unparalleled peace and security of life and property prevalent in Enugu was the hallmark of Ugwuanyi’s achievements among several road projects, bridges and buildings constructed by his administration
“This is buttresed in the conferment of a “Leadership Excellence Award” on the governor by House on the Rock, Enugu, “in recognition of vibrant visionary leadership in creating an enviable legacy of peace and security for Enugu State”, he said.
Also responding to questions from journalists during occasion, the Coordinator of ‘The Mandate Renaissance Initiative’ and the Administrator of Udi South Development Centre, Hon. Ifeanyi Agu said that the group will continue to support Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the enthronement of good leadership in Enugu state.
Agu said, “The Mandate Renaissance Initiative’ has continued to mobilised her members and the entire people of Enugu state to effectively participate in the electoral process with a view to voting massively for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi during the 2019 Governorship election”.
He called on those who have not collected their Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs, to go to the designated centres in the state for collection, insisting that the power of the electorates lies with the voters card.
Agu charged his members to carry the message to all the nook and cranny of the state to ensure that Gov. Ugwuanyi, the man with the Leadership wand for good governance is given a second chance to accomplish his lofty programmes for the people of Enugu state.
In attendance to event were spiritual fathers of Enugu, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese who was represented, the Methodist Archbishop of Enugu, PFN President of Enugu, Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen, Captains of Industries, Heads of Tertiary Institutions, among others.
