Manchester United set to increase bid for Mane

Louis van Gaal is determined to land Southampton’s Sadio Mane and will return with a second offer worth £20million.

Manchester United were desperately close to signing Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona, but saw the transfer hijacked at the last minute by Chelsea and Jose Mourinho.

An initial offer of £15million was rejected by the Saints, but United are prepared to increase their bid.

Van Gaal has been tracking the Senegal international, who only moved to England last summer from Austrian side, Red Bull Salzburg and is a big fan of his pace and goal-scoring ability.

Mane is also believed to be interested in moving to Old Trafford this summer. .
