Manchester United and Liverpool could face each other in the EFL Cup final, after they were kept apart in the semi-final draw.
Jose Mourinho’s team defeated West Ham 4-1 in their quarter-final clash on Wednesday and will take on another Premier League team, Hull City, in the last four of the competition.
United will be at home in the first leg on January 10 or 11, before travelling to the KCOM Stadium two weeks later.
Liverpool will play Southampton, who dumped Arsenal out at the Emirates.
Jurgen Klopp takes his side for St Mary’s for the first leg, where they won 6-1 in the quarter-finals last season.
Two-legged semifinal ties to be played January 10/11 and 24/25:
Manchester United v Hull City Southampton v Liverpool
