Manchester City believe Lionel Messi would join Pep Guardiola at the club, if he ever decides to leave Barcelona, according to reports in the British media.
The Argentina captain has never expressed any desire to leave the Camp Nou after 15 trophy-laden years at the club.
City reportedly have no plans to try and lure the five-time World Player of the Year. But if he ever decides to quit, the Etihad club will be in front of the queue.
Messi thrived under Guardiola during his time at Barcelona and they won three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues together.
