Manchester City triumphed over Liverpool 3-1 on penalties, to win the Capital One Cup on Sunday, after the game finished 1-1 on extra-time.
Fernandinho opened scoring for City, before Coutinho levelled with a few minutes of regulation time left.
There were no goals in the extra 30 minutes and Willy Caballero, who was playing in the place of Joe Hart, saved three spot-kicks to hand the first domestic title to Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
The loss means Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp, has now lost four consecutive finals as a manager and Liverpool have not won any silverware since 2006.
