Pep Guardiola is set to quit Bayern Munich next year and is believed to be close to agreeing a move to Manchester City.
The former Barcelona boss’ contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with Manchester United and City.
Speaking after Bayern’s 1-0 win over Darmstadt in the DFB-Pokal, the 44-year-old told ARD: “Tonight, I have no answer. Next week, you will know the answer.
“Next week there will be clarity.”
Former Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld, has already claimed that Guardiola has made up his mind to join City.
Current City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, has 18 months left on his contract, but the Etihad hierarchy will not pass up the chance to land their long-term target.
The Spaniard remains close with City chief executive Ferran Soriano and sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, from their time together at the Nou Camp.
