Manchester City announce Iheanacho’s promotion to first team

Manchester City have confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho, is now part of their first team, ahead of the 2015/2016 season.
The Nigerian youngster played in five pre-season games for the Etihad club and scored twice.
It appears Manuel Pellegrini has been impressed by the 18-year-old and will not send him out on loan. City announced via their official Twitter account that Iheanacho, Jason Denayer and Marcos Lopes, will make the step up.
“@Jasondenayer, @Rony10Lopes & @67Kelechi are the three academy graduates promoted to the first team,” the tweet read.
City open their new Premier League season away to West Brom on Monday night.
