Man Utd vs Real Madrid: Mourinho’s men continue winning run in pre-season tour

Manchester United continued their pre-season tour of the US, by defeating Real Madrid 2-1 on penalties on Sunday night at the Levi Stadium in San Francisco.

United took the lead in the first half, after a dazzling run from Anthony Martial set up Jesse Lingard for an easy tap in.

The La Liga champions equalized in the second half. Victor Lindelof cleared out Theo Hernandez inside the box and Kevin Stott pointed to the spot. Casemiro stepped up and smashed the penalty past David De Gea.

There were no further goals in the game and it went to penalty kicks, where seven of the 10 kicks were missed.

Casemiro missed the crucial kick, as Madrid began their pre-season preparations with a loss.
