Man Utd vs Chelsea: Lampard speaks on playing Kante, Willian, Rudiger in EPL clash

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has said that he will decide if Midfielder N’Golo Kanté is match-fit to play against Manchester United in Sunday’s English Premier League (EPL) fixture at Old Trafford.

He also said that Willian and Antonio Rüdiger are working to be fit to feature against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Kante has been building up to full fitness since suffering an injury ahead of the UEFA Europa League final few months ago.

Willian is yet to regain full fitness level having won the 2019 Copa America with Brazil last month, while Rudiger has not featured since limping off against Man United in late April.

“We have Kante fit, but if he’s match fit is a question I will have to decide right up until the end,” Lampard was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying on Friday.

“Everyone else is pretty much fit. We have the ones we know are outstanding. Willian is working to be fit and it’s probably come slightly too soon for him. Possibly Rudiger the same, but he has been training with us for a few days now. That’s for me to gauge over the next 24, 48 hours until Sunday.

“I know the squad we have got, I pretty much know where we are going. We have trained well, so we’re there.”
