Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson has wished Harry Maguire the best of luck after the defender joined Manchester United from Leicester City.
DAILY POST had reported that Maguire officially joined Man United from Leicester City on Monday in a world-record £80million fee.
The England international signed a six-year contract with the option of a further year at Old Trafford.
Henderson, a fellow international teammate with Maguire, wished the 26-year-old success at his new club.
“I haven’t spoken to him but… a lot of people will talk about the money and things like that,” Henderson told Sky Sports.
“But for Manchester United it’s obviously a good signing because I think Harry’s a fantastic player and he’ll do a fantastic job there, I’m sure.”
Henderson added: “We’ve got to wish him all the best. When we play against him I hope he doesn’t play very well.
“But he’s a great lad and it’s a great move for him so I’m sure he will do very well there.”
