Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained why Goalkeeper David De Gea and Striker Romelu Lukaku missed the Red Devils’ pre-season friendly 4-0 victory against Leeds United played Wednesday afternoon.
Solskjaer, according to Metro UK, said De Gea missed the Man United, Leeds clash because the Spain international was ill, while Lukaku had a knock.
Goals from Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Anthony Martial ensured that Solskjaer’s men defeated the Championship side at the Optus Stadium.
“David just fell ill today,” Solskjaer said after the match. “He didn’t feel right so we wait for the Inter Milan game for him.
“We wait for Lukaku who had a knock and the others as well.”
