Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, has revealed that forward, Paulo Dybala, will struggle with the physicality of the English Premier League, EPL, if he eventually moves to Old Trafford from Juventus.
Berbatov explained that Dybala’s problem was that he is small, adding that the EPL is meant for physical players.
He, however, admitted that he’s an admirer of the Argentina international.
DAILY POST had reported that Manchester United and Juventus have agreed on a swap deal in principle involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku this summer.
Dybala has been offered a five-year-contract by Manchester United and he will also earn €12million at the Premier League giants.
“I am a fan of Dybala. You can see his football intelligence. The thinking, his pass, the left-foot, his shots, his free-kicks, I like him a lot,” Berbatov told Metro UK.
“The only thing is that he is not tall or big, he’s small. Will he fit into the Premier League where it’s more physical?
“But you look at other players with his stature – David Silva for example – he’s a legend. It’s important for him to look at those types of players if the swap [goes through].”
