A 40 year old-man, Balarabe Adamu reportedly stabbed himself and jumped into a well on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Rijiyar Zaki Quarters of Ungogo Local Government, Kano.
According to the Director of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Mustafa Rilwan, the man was rescued from the well but later died at Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano.
Mustafa said a neighbour raised the alarm and informed the state Fire Service.
“Upon receiving the information, we quickly dispatched our secure team and a vehicle to the scene at about 5p.m.’’ the official explained.
