Man rapes 5-year-old girl to death in Bayelsa

Timidou Jephther, a 20 year-old boy has been arrested for raping a 5-year old girl, Queen Kaiser to death.
The suspect hails from Akedei Community, a riverine suburb in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The incident occurred at Akedei community, a riverine suburb of Sagbama in Sagbama Local government area of the state last weekend.
Spokesman of the command, Asinim Butswat, in a statement said the remains of the victim had been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre for autopsy.
“The suspect is detained at the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department SCIID, Yenagoa. Investigation is ongoing,” it added.
