One Desmond Asiegbulem, was Tuesday, dragged before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old boy.
The 29-year-old allegedly defiled the minor on November 11 at his residence, 8, Alhaja Abibatu St., Shogunle, a suburb of Lagos State.
According to the police prosecutor, Insp. Simeon Inuoha, the accused, a trader, is being tried for indecent treatment of a child.
Inuoha said that the accused called the victim into his room and shut the door.
“The accused defiled the victim through the anus. He also inserted his penis into the victim’s mouth, forcing him to suck him.
“It was when the anus started paining the victim that he told his mother what the accused did to him.
“The offence contravened Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011,” the prosecutor state.
The accused person pleaded not guilty.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs B. O. Osunsanmi, granted the accused N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
Osunsanmi adjourned the matter till February 9 for further hearing.
